Gingerbread House Decorating Competition Brings Festive Cheer to Edgbaston College

This week, Edgbaston College was transformed into a winter wonderland as students, staff, and even some visiting family members gathered for our annual Gingerbread House Decorating Competition. This much-anticipated event has become a cherished tradition at the college, marking the start of the festive season with creativity, teamwork, and a touch of friendly rivalry.

Participants were provided with gingerbread kits as their blank canvas, along with a dazzling array of decorating materials—think colourful candies, chocolate buttons, marshmallows, icing, and even edible glitter! Armed with piping bags and plenty of imagination, students set to work crafting some truly impressive creations.

Judges were certainly faced with a tough decision, as every gingerbread house told its own unique story. Winners announced below, with prizes awarded for categories such as "Most Creative Design," "Best Team Effort," and "Most Festive House."
